Our story began in 1983, when our founding principal, Mr. Lai Man Lee, started his career as one of the first CSLB licensed Asian American contractors in Southern California. He still holds and maintains a current B “General Building”, C16 “Fire Protection”, and C36 “Plumbing” license. It is due to his extensive expertise and contacts in the field of construction that propelled his original plumbing supply store, incorporated in 1992, into a family of plumbing, electrical, lighting, and underground supply stores with seven locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

Each of our team members understands we are not just in the business of distribution, but are in fact service providers of knowledge and expertise. By having experienced licensed contractors on staff who hold active CSLB C10 “Electrical” and C36 “Plumbing” licenses, as well as team members trained in Title 24 compliance, we are able to provide our customers with comprehensive technical support and education, an unparalleled level of service typically not found elsewhere.

Our sales team also partners with vendors to provide additional complimentary value added services such as continuing education, job site walkthroughs, plan take offs, specification and crossover assistance, and on site and after hours support. We also have the ability, upon request, to act as a liaison between our customer and municipal building departments to obtain approvals for new products to be used in that municipality.

Our Team

Prior to joining the family business in 2001, Ms. Yan Lee worked at Arthur Andersen LLP, a Big 5 accounting firm, as a CPA in their audit and business consulting division. During her time there, she had the opportunity to travel both nationally and internationally to audit and consult with a multitude of Fortune 500 firms. In 2008, she obtained a juris doctorate to complement her business and accounting experience, and her added legal background has been an invaluable asset to the company. Ms. Lee holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D. from Concord Law School. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as a mediator for the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Dispute Resolution Program and co-leading her daughter’s Brownie Troop.

Ms. Wan Lee began her career as an architect at Hunt Hale Jones Architects, an award winning international company with offices in San Francisco and Shanghai. She later joined Green City Building Company, a multi-disciplinary real estate and architecture firm. Through her work at these enterprises, Ms. Lee has designed and developed over 3,000 residential units and 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space. She has completed projects ranging from high density, mixed-use redevelopments to custom single family homes and office/retail space. Ms. Lee joined L.C. Plumbing Supply in 2008 and has been able to apply her thorough knowledge of the construction industry to provide her customers with value added services. She is a California state licensed architect and a LEED accredited professional. Ms. Lee graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Architecture, and has a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
